Matrix Service is hiring experienced Pipe Welders for an upcoming industrial construction project in Channahon, Illinois. This position offers excellent pay, steady hours, and travel compensation. Welders will perform high-quality work using various welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, MIG, and TIG on multiple pipe materials and sizes.
Responsibilities include setting up and operating welding equipment, performing fit-ups and grinding, and ensuring all welds meet inspection standards including visual, hydro, and X-ray testing. Welders must maintain a high level of safety, professionalism, and adherence to company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery or industrial construction
- Current certifications in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW/FCAW
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Must pass weld test, drug screening, and background check
