Job Description
Trillium Construction is seeking experienced X-ray Pipe Welders and Journeyman Pipefitters for a high-demand industrial project based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This short-term opportunity offers excellent pay, high weekly hours, and generous per diem for qualified travelers.
Job Responsibilities for Pipe Welders,For Pipefitters :
For Pipe Welders:
- Perform X-ray quality welds on stainless steel piping (1"-6" Schedule 10 socket welds and 3" butt welds)
- Use TIG rig and welding hood to execute precise, high-strength welds
- Read and interpret isometric drawings and P&IDs
- Follow all safety protocols on OSHA-compliant sites
For Pipefitters:
- Install and upgrade industrial piping systems
- Take precise field measurements and interpret spool sheets and engineering plans
- Thread pipe, fit components, and independently install spooled piping
- Work from coordinates and elevations with minimal supervision
Requirements for Pipe Welders,For Pipefitters :
- 7+ years of experience in industrial pipe welding or pipefitting
- OSHA-10 (within last 5 years) or OSHA-30 (within last 10 years)
- Must pass pre-employment screenings
- Reliable transportation and own tools (including TIG rig, FR gear, leathers for welders)
Preferred Qualifications for Pipe Welders,For Pipefitters :
- X-ray certification and successful track record with stainless welds (for welders)
- Strong ability to read blueprints and take field measurements (for fitters)
- Verifiable work references and consistent work history
